R/V Kinfish
R/V Kinfish is a serious expedition ship with high comfort. She was converted from a former Norwegian rescue and research vessel and is 37 meter long and 7 meters wide, with an ice strengthened hull and high-tech instruments.
The ship had a large renovation in 2024 including complete refurbishment of all guest cabin bathrooms, and she comfortably accommodates 12 guests in an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Our 9 experienced and friendly crew look forward to welcoming you onboard.
Guest Cabins
R/V Kinfish offers 6 modern and cozy guest cabins as deluxe twins. All have plenty of storage space, minimum one porthole and private bathrooms which was totally renovated in 2024. One cabin is with bunkbeds and a small sofa. All other cabins have two separate beds in varying setups.
Restaurant & Lounge areas
Delicious meals are served in the restaurant area on the main deck. You will also find our well stocked bar in the restaurant and on R/V Kinfish softdrinks, beer, wine and spirits are included in your trip.
Connecting to the restaurant is the comfy game lounge filled with games for you to have fun with. On the upper deck you can relax in the large survey lounge with panoramic windows, giving you the opportunity to enjoy Norways beautiful nature from inside the ship.The cozy sofa lounge is great to hang out and relax. Perhaps have a coffee or go through your photos on the large screen.
Multilevel decks & Eagles Nest
The multilevel decks on R/V Kinfish gives you great topside viewing and photography opportunities. Aft deck is only one meter from the waterline and gives easy access to the zodiacs as well as straight line photography. The main mast has to viewing platforms you can climb and almost touch the sky – if you are not too afraid of heights..
Zodiacs
On both our ships, we run 2 zodiacs with one in-water guide and one skipper on each. The zodiacs are six meters long and licensed for 12 persons, but we limit numbers to max 6 guests to keep the groups small and provide you the best encounters.
Equipment room
You will have a private space for hanging your suit and storing gear in a heated and ventilated room inside the ship. So your gear will be dry and warm for you to put on every morning.
